'Sky Garden' Unveiled
The much anticipated 'Sky Garden' in the heart of the city is now officially open to the public.
Long term client Willerby Landscapes have completed work at 20 Fenchurch Street in the City of London, and the much anticipated 'Sky Garden' has now been officially opened to the general public.
London's highest public botanical garden sits on the 37th floor of the City of London's 5th tallest building, affectionately dubbed the "Walkie-Talkie" building and was designed by Uruguayan architect Rafael Vinoly.
All materials, including over 390 bags of our BS3882 topsoil and BS8601 subsoil had to be craned onto the 37th floor, along with 250 trees and over 2,000 plants, grasses and ferns.
The project was a major logistical undertaking for Willerby Landscapes and the results are spectacular.
Please visit their project page here and be sure to check out the video footage from the crane.
