TS1 - As Dug BS3882:2015 Multipurpose Topsoil

TS1 - As Dug BS3882:2015 Multipurpose Topsoil

TS1 is what we call our virgin, 'as dug' sandy loam topsoil.

This material is a single source, 'as dug' topsoil and comes in two grades. Both 10mm and 20mm grades are tested throughout the year against the BS3882:2015 multipurpose specification to ensure consistency and are also fully compliant with NHBC regulations:

  • 10mm Sandy Loam – the sandier of the two 'as dugs', screened to 10mm and very friable, even in the wettest of weather. Can also be utilised as a topdressing material or rootzone substitute. This material is tested every 6 months (see Technical Data on the left for the latest analysis).
  • 20mm Sandy Loam – with a slightly higher clay content than the 10mm, this is an excellent landscaping topsoil, with higher water retention properties than its 10mm counterpart. This material is tested six times per year (see Technical Data on the left for the latest analysis).

Both of these materials can be blended with either PAS100 10mm compost, shredded/rotted farmyard manure or mushroom compost upon request.

TS1 is purely the Bourne Amenity code for a virgin, fully tested 'as dug' topsoil and, although the two materials listed are readily available, come rain or shine, we do also source other TS1 topsoils from greenfield sites which are available through the sportsturf construction side of the Bourne Amenity group.

We have over 20 years of experience sourcing premium topsoils from greenfield sites and have matched topsoils for the most prestigious projects across the country, including seven varying specifications of topsoil required for the Olympics Project. If you have a specification to match that has to be an 'as dug' material, rather than a blended topsoil, then we can almost certainly help.

Call us on 01797 252299 to discuss your site specific requirements and topsoil specifications.
