Policy Statement for Health, Safety & Welfare

The basis of our Policy is that Bourne Amenity Limited regards safety as of primary importance and not subordinate to progress or profitability and that safety is the responsibility of both senior management and site management. In addition, all employees and sub-contractors engaged by Bourne Amenity Limited will have a responsibility for safety.

It is Bourne Amenity Limited intention that its work will be carried out in accordance with relevant statutory provisions and all reasonable and practical measures taken to avoid risk to its employees or others who may be affected.

Management and supervisory staff have the responsibility for implementing our Policy throughout the organisation and must ensure that health and safety considerations are always given priority in planning and the day to day supervision of work.

All employees and sub-contractors are expected to fully co-operate in carrying out our Policy and must ensure that their own work, so far as is reasonably practicable, is carried out without risk to themselves or others. They must also co-operate with the employer to assist in meeting the statutory requirements.

When there is uncertainty in health and safety matters, employees must follow lines of responsibility and command, giving guidance and safety advice to those directly responsible to them and seeking guidance and advice from those to whom they are directly responsible.

Bourne Amenity Limited has appointed Peter Bourne, Director, as having particular responsibility for health, safety and welfare.

This statement of Bourne Amenity Limited Policy will be displayed prominently at all sites and workplaces.

The organisation and arrangements for implementing the Policy will also be available at each site and workplace for reference by any employee as required.
