Play Pit/Jump Pit Sands

Play Pit/Jump Pit Sands

Play Pit Sand is predominantly a light yellow coloured "double" washed silica sand, graded to medium / fine and certified to BS EN 1177:2008. Play sand must be laid to minimum depth of 300mm to comply to the BS EN 1177:2008 standard. We source our Play Pit Sand from two local quarries and test twice a year to ensure consistency of particle size.

Jump Pit Sand - is also a light yellow coloured "double" washed sand, but is more of a medium grade silica sand. Jump Pit Sand and Play Pit Sand are often mentioned in the same breath, but Jump Pit Sand does not need to conform to a standard. As mentioned, the sand is slightly coarser than Play Pit Sand, but is similarly double washed and would look almost identical to the naked eye.

See Technical Data on the left for the latest grading analysis on both our Play Pit Sand and Jump Pit Sand.
