Heicom Tree Sand
Heicom tree sand is a special mix for planting trees in urban situations. Its specific purpose is to prevent subsidence and thus maintain the integrity of the paved area.
Often referred to as ‘Amsterdam Tree Sand’ it has two distinct advantages over standard tree soil:
- When applied under pressure in layers around the rootball, the physical structure of the sand resists further compaction by pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
- Even after compaction, the texture of the carefully selected sand will leave space for air, water and root growth.
